To discover
Zagreb – the capital of Croatia – is one of the most beautiful cities in Central Europe. With its perfect size – neither big nor small, it is a safe and well organized city, easy going but lively and bustling at the same time. Full of museums, tourist sites and cultural places, Zagreb is a rather affordable and very sunny city. From April until October, Zagreb lives in the open air. For nature lovers, a large number of parks and lakes are easily reachable not far from Zagreb.
With its many restaurants and bars, Zagreb is a real culinary treat. Declared as the cheapest European Christmas market two years in a row, it is a good starting point for exploring Croatia.
Good to know
The living cost is much cheaper than in France. To get an idea about the prices : http://www.unizg.hr/homepage/international-exchange/exchange-students/living-studying-in-zagreb/
There are 12 student restaurants called “mensas”, which are located throughout the city, in faculties and student residences. Each student must have a student card (“iksica”) in order to get discounted meals. Before leaving the restaurant, the student must present his “iksica” to a cashier and pay for the meal.
