Among the 3,000 or so historic and colonial buildings to discover, don’t miss the Templo de Santa Rosa de Viterbo, the city’s most exuberant Baroque church; the Templo de Santa Clara and its austere façade; the elegant San Francisco church; the regional museum, housed in a former Franciscan convent, which traces the history of the region; the Theater of the Republic and the Casa de la Corregidora, places steeped in history; the Santa Cruz convent and the aqueduct….
Don’t forget to listen to the orchestra at the Zenea garden, or take a stroll up Cerro de las Campanas, a small hill to the west of the city with a lovely park offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains;

Procedures
No student visa required for stays of less than 180 days; For other nationalities, please check https://www.gob.mx/sre
However, students must be in possession of a passport valid for six months after the semester and in good condition, a certificate from the Mexican academic institution stating that they are registered for a period of less than 180 days, return air tickets and proof of accommodation; The FMM form given to them by the airline must be presented when they finally leave Mexico; More info
Once there, you will however need to follow some procedures with the Immigration Service. Plan $200 of fees.
An international insurance is compulsory.
